It is a program helping adults and many professionals progress from (IELTS):
1) Middle to upper intermediate 5.5 to 6.5
2) Upper intermediate to advanced 6.5 to 7.0
3) Lower advanced to mastery 7.0 to 9.0
4) The Live classes have a B1 to B2 | C1 program.
5) The modules are just the intermediate to advanced jump.
The program is specifically designed to summarise only the essential information practically used in real life situations. Many courses fill up with material that you will never use. We don’t so you save time and money.
There are several replies to this questions as everyone has a personal journey. However, some points to consider are;
- You feel stuck and your English just isn’t progressing.
- Do i have time to dedicate to this program.
- Is my desire strong enough to want to speak fluently or at an advanced level.
- Can i put in the work, commitment and effort, including the assignments, needed to get results?

Look for a basic free or paid test on the internet. If you take the live trial class i will know if you are at the right level to take the module B2+ or live classes B1+.
Currently our A1, A2, B1 levels are not live but should be in the near future. The zoom classes for B1 are called the “Thrive-45 Program“

Yes, the lessons build from one session to the next. It is designed to improve writing, speaking, listening and reading skills.

Yes. The trial class is actually class 1 of the program. It is very important to set a learning schedule for your English studies. Without following a routine it will be difficult to progress at a constant pace. After the trial class, you will get a lot of downloadable and printable PDFs, a schedule planner, resources, feedback and suggestions.

Correct grammar is a necessity within any language. but we don’t go into hundreds of grammar rules. Joining our program at intermediate level means you would have already done A LOT of grammar classes. Grammar is all free on the internet and fabulously absorbed by extensive reading and listening. Yes, you just pay for a class or package when you want to.
Yes, most classes come with course notes, links or optional assignments / homework. You have the option of class notes before or after class. Please let me know.
Yes, there are some specific business classes included in the thrive-55 program. Such as job interviews, business meetings, full business idioms and expressions customer service etc. You can take these classes any time, just ask.
Yes, there are just 3 x 1 hour pronunciation classes included in the thrive-55 program. You can take these classes any time, Please ask for the pronunciation class description PDF.
The thrive-55 includes the speaking skills in the program. However you can specify more focus on this during the course Speaking Skills
The thrive-55 compacts all the essentials you need to gain fluency and effective communication. More information here.
Each class is one hour with a built in 5 minute break for student or teacher if needed. There are also 45-minute classes.
- There are 55 classes so the full course could take 6 to 12 months. It is not a race. We highly recommend to focus on one subject at a time and learn it well and take 2 to 3 classes a week. This gives you time to do the homework.
- A good microphone and internet connection.
- A quiet, undisturbed place.
- A laptop or tablet. A mobile phone is not recommended.
- You will receive the ZOOM link by email or enter from your dashboard (live ZOOM classes). The link usually stays the same and i will let you in from the zoom waiting room when class begins.
- Bluetooth headsets can sometimes have issues. Please test them well before class or use a cable headset.
The trial class is good to see if you like my teaching method and very important to set a learning schedule for your English studies. Without following a routine it will be difficult to progress at a constant pace. You will get a lot of downloadable and printable PDFs, a schedule planner, resources and feedback and suggestions.
Group classes can be a better alternative as not everyone likes one-to-one lessons. They are less intense and more social.

Self-Learning Modules 1 to 8
- The business classes.
- Live one to one personal lessons.
- Correcting of personal English assignments.
- A credited CEFR level language course.
- Heavy grammar structured classes.
- Medical English.
- You need a current IELTS grade between 5.5 to 7.0.(Cambridge English Scale 160 to 190).
- You can enroll if you are at C1 level IELTS 7.0 as the course will push you further up C1 and beyond.
- This program is not for students at B1 level.
Yes, absolutely, stop anytime. No commitment, no stress, no pressure, no direct debit. You can also restart at anytime in the future from the last class you took.
Difficult is not the right word. The course is designed to push you to think outside the box. You can make it as easy or as challenging as you like. The more effort, the more rewarding, and you will see progress.
The structured program does have optional assignments for each module to complete, but they can only be submitted to an independent teacher for review. We are working on a way to included assignments at a reasonable extra cost. The assignments are optional but necessary to fix the lesson to memory, through repetition, visualisation and emotion.
Yes. You will receive a certification of completion for those that complete the full 8 module course. Please note Nautilus English is NOT an accredited platform. For those that require a legal requirement test for work, university, job applications etc, you will need to take an independent language level test.
The online automated self-study course has no time limit as you enter the platform and leave when you want to.
Each payment covers one module only and it is only permitted to buy one module per 30 days. You must complete them in a linear way. It is not possible to jump modules, they have to be completed in sequence.
Most students finish a module in 7 to 14 days but are then asked to go back and revise all the material and submit the optional assignments to an independent teacher.
If you are at lower B2 level (5.5), you will need to move gradually up to upper B2 level (6.5). This course is designed for that, giving you exposure to advanced English along the way. Do not be too concerned about levels and numbers. It’s about getting results in the end.
We are dedicated to each students progress and monitor how they are interacting with the course. However, as with most programs, the results depend on several factors, especially the attitude, commitment and motivation of the student. We demonstrate the art of learning and present the materials and topics needed to speak at an advanced level. At B2 C1 C2, extensive reading programs are a necessity, not an option.
Grammar and knowing the correct grammar rules are super important. However our structure does not focus on grammar which is all free on the internet. If you want grammar classes, this is not your program. Our whole course is, in fact, a lesson in grammar. We talk about the grammar issue during the program. You can download the grammar PDF needed per level from the grammar section in resources.
Yes, any students preparing for future exams will strongly benefit from this course. There are printable phrases and expressions for download, frequently used in IELTS exams. The course does not show you how to ace an IELTS test, you will have to find a teacher for this.
